[MPlayer-users] JPEGs converted to video on a DVD: mplayer and xine issues

I got the following artifacts:
xine: skipped about the first 30 seconds of the title (first 2 chapters, 15
seconds each)
mplayer: skipped the first 45 seconds of the title (first 3 chapters), and audio
didn't start until about 15 seconds after it started playing chapter 4.

Chapter was made from a file produced by mencoder. Windows players do not
manifest these issues, although there was a sound cut-off issue in Interactual
in a different place.

I'll try put stdout here later. Just wondering if anybody has seen this and has
any tips.
