I have a West European Region DVD that I want to play in mplayer, but
mplayer seems to keep failing to play the dvd. I am pretty sure my DVD
drive is an RPC-2 drive set for US region or it's region may not be set at
all, but even still, it plays perfectly in Xine using xine-lib's internal
livdvdread plus the external libdvdcss. Xine can even play the iso image
made by dding /dev/dvd to a file using the loopback device. In both cases
mplayer fails to decrypt the DVD. I tried setting DVDCSS_METHOD to key,
title and disc, but no improvement. Here is the debug output from mplayer:

$ DVDCSS_VERBOSE=2 mplayer dvd://
