Oh I guess this is more helpful:

gcc on darwin generates
         movl    L_mp3lib_decwin$non_lazy_ptr, %eax
...
         fsts  (%eax)(,%ecx,4)
         fstps (%eax)+64(,%ecx,4)

vs linux
         fsts  mp3lib_decwin(,%ecx,4)
         fstps mp3lib_decwin+64(,%ecx,4)
