[MPlayer-users] DVDNAV questions

OK, I realize dvdnav is still not complete, but I have some questions
I hope can be answered.

First I got the latest svn "dev-SVN-r20016-3.3.6" and threw this
configure line at it

configure --enable-gui --enable-largefiles --enable-smb --enable-live
--enable-dvdnav --enable-menu --enable-xmms --disable-mga
--disable-xmga --with-livelibdir=/usr/lib/live

Everything compiles fine.

So the next thing I tried was throwing in Matrix Reloaded Disc 1 and I typed

mplayer dvdnav://

Console threw out a bunch of info (which I will add at the end) and it
went right into the main menu of the disc (skipping the Warner Bros
and rating info). Now I don't mind that. But then it show the main
menu in 4:3 mode vs 16:9.

Now comes more issues. Obviously your normal arrow keys aren't going
to work so I man mplayer. It tells me that the number keys are
mappped. Well I am on a laptop but I gave it a shot. Nothing. Console
reports the the keys are not mapped. I also read in a previous message
the hjkl keys were mapped as the arrows and m for menu and s for
select. Well those didn't work for the dvdnav either.

Gmplayer doesn't have any options for dvdnav. Am I supposed to apply
the patch from http://dcxx.fw.hu/mplayer/ manually? Also if I start
gmplayer from the console with gmplayer dvdnav:// I get this error

INIT ERROR: 145698712, couldn't get init pos New position not yet determined.

But then it continues to play the menu fine. But I have no mouse
function with dvdnav. I can still right click and get the menu but
that is the extent of it.

Here is my gmplayer dvdnav:// console output:

If you want my mplayer console output or any conf files let me know. I
would just prefer to use mplayer as I am use to all the key commands.

I am hoping I am just missing some entries in my conf files, but I
guess we will see.

Thanks
Jeremy Hansen
