Based on a quick test, it looks like the difference between 24 and 25
fps is small enough that mplayer automatically alters the fps to
compensate, resulting in no particular change.

Anyway, I think what you want is to use '-speed 24/25'. The audio will
be slightly lower-pitch, naturally.
