[MPlayer-users] Mplayer and LCDPROC

Hi All,
    I have an newbie question so please be gentle!!! :o)

I'm currently looking for information on how to get LCDproc working for Mplayer.
I will soon be installing Geexbox with a 4x20 lcd module and i want it to display the 
movie details and duration of play etc.

Geexbox comes with Mplayer 1.0pre8. Before I buy the kit can this be achived? Do I have to patch it?
If so how?
