[MPlayer-users] seeking in certain mkv files broken

I long noticed this issue, but it seems to have never been resolved.
I'm not sure if the problem is in mplayer itself, or if it is a side effect
of
a poorly encoded file perhaps.

What I have seen since mkv's first started becoming common was that
some of them gave mplayer trouble in seeking. (trying to seek around
while watching the movie play is problematic)

I'm sure others have seen this, but I can give a link to torrent files
that demonstrate the issue if needed. I'm currently running the latest
mplayer built from SVN on a fedora core machine.

I was wondering if anyone else had encountered this, and whether or
not it was a problem is someone's encode, a known issue in mplayer,
etc etc.

I've put up with it for ages now, assuming it would get fixed over time.
I wouldnt mind peeking around in the code that controls seeking if
someone gave me a hint where the best place to start looking was.
