[MPlayer-users] Can mplayer support an audio bitrate change in the stream while decoding?

Short question:
I have a 20sec long mpg2 (ts) test file, can you guys help me find a
way to play (decode) the whole file with mplayer without having
mplayer to crash after the first 10sec? I uploaded the file (8MB)
here:

More details:
I set up a TV streaming system in my local network where a server gets
the tv stream via a DVB-T tuner and sends it (as is, no encoding) to
my client where I have mplayer to decode the stream. This test.mpg
file is a sample piece of the resulting stream I get on the client.
What happens after 10seconds is that I switched channel on the TV
tuner, and the second part (the remaining 10sec) uses a different
audio bitrate (64kbit/s) than the first part (192kbit/s). So mplayer
crashes when it reaches that point. Is there an option I can pass to
mplayer to sort of detect a change in the bitrate and adjust its
decoding parameters on the fly (without having it to crash)?

thanks in advance
zeno
