Sometimes the movie is not actually at dvd://1

You have to experiment.  mplayer dvd://2,   mplayer dvd://0 , mplayer
dvd://3 , etc.
Keep trying till you find one that works. If that doesn't work, you must
have other problems.

I've come across a few dvd's that are like this. Maybe 1 in 30. So gmplayer
doesn't know what to do with it either. The Totem distribution on debian
linux testing picks these up fine. But I have to put in the right  starting
title with gmplayer or mplayer or the dvd won't play.
