The -vo options that you should be able to use vary depending on your video
hardware.

If you have open GL drivers installed for your video card, then these should
work. You don't even need directx 7. These work on NT4 systems. I don't
believe directx 7 even works on NT4

mplayer -vo gl
mplayer -vo gl2

With DirectX the following might also work:
mplayer -vo directx

And if you have the correct video card, the following could possibly work:
mplayer -vo winvidix

But the best solution is usually directx. On my built in Intel 82845 chipset
gl, gl2 and directx all work. But directx can play mpeg4 much better than
the gl or gl2 options. I must not have compiled in support for winvidix, it
doesn't work at all.
