OK, I stand corrected.  It goes up to about 4.  I guess the extra 180
lines throw it over the edge - 1920x900 plays smoothly with good sync.
It just doesn't fit on my screen...

Oh, OK.  I didn't know the "too slow" messages was A-V specific.
