Hi there,

I have some issues compiling mplayer since recent revisions.Well, not
compiling really, but actually playing a file

I dont run into any errors after configure and make, installation goes fine.
Here are the options i used:

./configure --enable-gui --codecsdir=/usr/lib/codecs
make
sudo make install

After starting a movie, i just get this error:

***

gmplayer /media/stock/movies/movie.avi

MPlayer interrupted by signal 11 in module: unknown
- MPlayer crashed by bad usage of CPU/FPU/RAM.
Recompile MPlayer with --enable-debug and make a 'gdb' backtrace and
  disassembly. Details in
DOCS/HTML/en/bugreports_what.html#bugreports_crash.
- MPlayer crashed. This shouldn't happen.
It can be a bug in the MPlayer code _or_ in your drivers _or_ in your
gcc version. If you think it's MPlayer's fault, please read
DOCS/HTML/en/bugreports.html and follow the instructions there. We
can't and
won't help unless you provide this information when reporting a
possible bug.

This happens since a couple of revisions, and mplayer is actually plaing
the exact same file properly.
On the last line, i'm advised to compile with gdb options to get a debug
log:

should i just report a bug with this info or can i post here?

If you have any idea on anything i miss when compiling, let me know !

ps: my first message here; not sure if thats the right place for my
request tho, but you'll tell me. :p

Bye!
