[MPlayer-users] mplayer-svn won't play mpeg files

I just tried re-compiling mplayer, after updating ffmpeg and x264 to
their latest subversion versions - no go. 

I'm compiling mplayer like this:

CFLAGS= ./configure --prefix=/usr --confdir=/etc/mplayer
--win32codecsdir=/usr/lib/win32 \ --enable-gui --enable-largefiles
--enable-menu --disable-arts --disable-smb \ --disable-faad-internal

does this seem correct?

Also I noticed that mmx2 support has not been included, whereas mmx,
sse and sse2 have. Former versions I was using had mmx2 support, could
this be a problem?
