Hello,

me two, I have some problems while trying to play ripped movies with
mplayer.

In the past I used :
mplayer dvd:// -dvd-device MYDVD -aid xxx to play the movie on the hard
disk.

The movie normally is ripped with dvdbackyp or vobcopy, and normally I
rip only the main strem (the movie without any pollution).

Now I can't play it.

Example/

After ripping MYDVD I have this structure :

~/videos$ ls MYDVD/VIDEO_TS/
VTS_02_0.BUP VTS_02_0.VOB VTS_02_2.VOB VTS_02_4.VOB VTS_02_6.VOB
VTS_02_0.IFO VTS_02_1.VOB VTS_02_3.VOB VTS_02_5.VOB.

With xine I can play the movie without any problem:
xine MYDVD (OK)

with mplayer:
mplayer dvd:// -dvd-device MYDVD (ENTER):

 mplayer dvd:// -dvd-device LA_PISTE___FILM/
MPlayer 1.0rc1-4.1.1 (C) 2000-2006 MPlayer Team

libdvdread: Can't open file VIDEO_TS.IFO.
Ne peut ouvrir les informations VMG!
[file] No filename
Échec à l'ouverture de 'dvd://' . in english +- => failure to open dvd://

Sortie... (Fin du fichier) in english +- => (exit... (end of the file)

Sorry some output is in french.

I am using

1.0_rc1 version compiled with gentoo ebuild.
