Using SVN 22307 and a few subversions before (about 10-15); have started
seeing incorrect totals in the Percentage done: e.g. (14325%) completed, and
a negative Megabyte remaining total ( -1mb).

Using the following:

mencoder -vf crop=720:358:0:64 -alang en -slang en -ovc x264enc
pass=1:threads=2:turbo=2 -oac mp3lame -lameopts preset=standard -o /dev/null

mencoder -vf crop=720:358:0:64 -alang en -slang en -ovc x264enc
pass=1:threads=2 -oac mp3lame -lameopts preset=standard -o Movie.avi

Done on Debian Testing on an i386 architecture 2.6.18.2 kernel with SMP
support.

Gives a good decode. But the console output is disconcerting.

The x264 coded AVI file plays pretty well. Uses only about 22% of the CPU on
the average on a dual SMP Pentium III 750 Mhz system with a Geforce 4 64MB
DDRAM AGP video card using Nvidia's drivers.

Takes about 9 hours to decode using 2 threads: With the threads option the
CPUs are about 95% utilized on the encoding process. Very efficient.
