[MPlayer-users] problems seeing video from capture card

Hi.

I've built mythtv onto an ubuntu 6.10 box as a
frontend/backend/desktop system using the guide at
http://parker1.co.uk/mythtv_ubuntu.php (I am running a dvb card so
this was great)

running tzap I get the FE_HAS_LOCK after the first frame, which is
encouraging. But whenever I run dvbstream it would flip to a blank
screen for a minute and then crash back to the terminal. If I
redirect this to a file and use mplayer to view it, it gives me great
sound but only a blue screen instead of picture.

I thuoght that perhaps it was jstu an odd thing with my base tools so
I went ahead and set up Mythtv anyway. When I run mythtv to watch
live tv, or capture anything I get perfect sound but no video. Just
get the same blue screen instead.

If it is any clue, the mplayer output when playing the file is pasted below.

I am in great need of help. Any pointers, clues, advice will be
greatly appreciated.

TIA

nuffi
