[MPlayer-users] Problem playing certain files through xv

I figured this was the case, but was unsure because of mplayer crashing.

My bios has no options to set a specific amount of memory. I tried
going through the mtrr setup in the documentation, but am unsure how
to proceed with it being shared memory. Currently agpgart gets 16MB of
stolen memory. I am assuming in windows the driver is able to change
this. Is there a way to do this in linux?

I have been working with some forums on trying to get it to work
properly and am unable to do so. One of them suggested I try these
lists, although I realize this goes beyond the mplayer program itself.
