[MPlayer-users] BPP for Frame Size

Hello all,

Let say I conclude that for most of my video sources I get a decent quality 
encoding at a video bitrate based on .169 bpp's with lavc.  My question is 
related to anamorphic 16:9 DVD's.  Should I calculate my video bitrate based 
on the original frame size (in my case a widescreen PAL DVD, 720x576) or 
should I consider the modified frame size at playtime (1024x576) ?  I really 
can't conclude based on my tests :(
