[MPlayer-users] "Skip frame" error

Hi,

I am trying to convert a quicktime video to a mpeg4 video using the
following command, but  I get a lot of 'skipping frame' error.

 ./mencoder ~/videos/transformer.mov -nosound -ovc lavc -lavcopts
vcodec=mpeg4 -vop expand=176:144,scale=320:160 -o movie.avi -ofps 12

Can you please tell me what is the meaning of the error message and
should should i do to correct it?
