Thanks guys for answering. But scan is not picking up the channel name.
I am using my moms cable and she only gets analog but the pcHDTV3000
tuner picks up the digital signals as well. I can only guess the
problem is that she don't subscribe to digital so she don't get station
names. But it all fixed now simply by changing the [number] to a
channel name manually so [000-0001]:459000000:QAM_256:2048:2049:1
becomes EWTN:459000000:QAM_256:2048:2049:1. Nothing to do with mplayer
at all but with scan and the cable signal. Now we can get digital
without paying for it.
