Yes, mine is LCD display, so I changed the value.

I found 

   # standard monitor size, with square pixels
   #monitoraspect=4:3

so I inserted below these lines, and it works....

When watching DVD, if I tried to jump to some chapter by the menu on 
the gmplayer's screen, gmplayer had got abend.
I experienced this on CRT display suddenly, and couldn't solve, so I posted.
But, no advice I got.
Is this specific to me, I wonder?
