Hello. I have got a "green-screen" problem when trying to decodec xvid
using XviD 1.1.2 in "mplayer -vc xvid".

Some details. I am running MacOSX 10.4.10 on a G4 processor, I have
compiled xvid 1.1.2 (the official release), and built mplayer with
it. I can
successfully encode using

mencoder -ovc xvid -oac faac ....

The output encourages me to think that mencoder is doing what I
wanted. Eg:

> MPEG-ES file format detected.
> FPS seems to be: 23.979143
> [V] filefmt:27 fourcc:0x10000004 size:0x0 fps:23.98

> xvid: CBR Rate Control -- bitrate=1200kbit/s

If I play this back as in "mplayer temp.avi", I get

> Playing temp.avi.
> [...snip...]
> VIDEO: [XVID] 640x272 12bpp 23.979 fps 658.4 kbps (80.4

all goes well. If instead I try to play it as in "mplayer -vc xvid
temp.avi"
(or "-vfm xvid") I get a completely green screen (with some noise to
hint that something is happening inside the decoder). This is part of
the output from mplayer.

Has anybody met this problem? Have I done something wrong with
the compilation? Is the fact that mplayer tries to open "XviD 1.0
decoder"
but finds "version 1.1.2" significant? Can anybody help?

Thanks.

PS. I should say that I can play the video with ffodivx and all other
players, so this is just a matter of interest to understand whether
I did something wrong or whether there is a bug somewhere.
