Problems playing MXF-files generated by asdcplib

Trying to play MXF-video-files wrapped by asdcplib.
mplayer tells me:
    ...
    Frame too small! (48476<4147200) Wrong format?
    Frame too small! (48476<4147200) Wrong format?
    ...

Details:

asdcplib-1.1.13
mxflib 2007-03-09
mplayer rev 22840 (2007-03-29)

Video wrapped with asdcp-test (from asdcplib) shows those messages.
Exactly this video mxf can be dumped and extracted with
both mxflib tools (mxfdump, mxfsplit) and  asdcp-test (and the mpeg2-stream
plays flawlessly).

videos wrapped with mxfwrap (from mxflib) play flawlessly with mplayer.

any ideas? any hints?
