[MPlayer-users] mplayer on Fedora v Ubuntu

I have a site that I watch - www.kvbc.com
If I use Firefox on Ubuntu clicking on the videos it launches mplayer
if I use Firefox on Fedora clicking on the videos does nothing
I've tried 1.5 and 2 on Fedora and makes no difference 
This is doing my head in... Can anyone tell me what the 
difference is - I know this isn't really an mplayer problem
but I am really stuck !
