is that the only extra option needed?  The man page is what you might
call 'sparse'.  It gives one example: -ffourcc div3.

I assume this means divx3, so I tried this, as well as div2 and div4
just to be on the safe side.  Burnt all 3 to disc and not a single one
plays.  None of them play in Totem either.  Black screen, but I hear the
audio.

Could you elaborate?
