[MPlayer-users] why my mplayer hangs?

The version I'm using on Sarge (now a Very Old Debian distro) is Older than
the one who comes with Etch .deb packages, and it works.
 
The problem isn't probably the version, but a config problem; I'm looking
for how to resolve it, not how I can upgrade it;

btw I'm not spending my time with compiling lots of packages just for an
mplayer.

Unfortunately, escept sending here my lsmod and lspci output, I don't know
what I should do since it totally hangs the running console.
