I'm not sure anymore what do you want... but if you want to check latest 
version number of mplayer development tree and you have Windows and 
don't like DOS prompt then search&destroy (err... replace "destroy" by 
"install") for GUI subversion version (eg. TortoiseSVN) and do *info* 
for adress "svn://svn.mplayerhq.hu/mplayer/trunk"

If by any chance you want to check latest binary version of mplayer for 
Windows then... wrong adress - *goto* to your port binary maintainer.
