Thanks. That did the trick. In my particular case, I have found that the
relevant entries are the #12, #13 and #14 (starting at #0).

The .idx file was generated by mencoder. Is it normal that it does not dump
the palette as well?

Another question: is there a documentation where I could have found it by
myself?
