I was trying to listen to 
http://216.144.35.180:8081/asxgen/nostalgiadigest/3058498560329.wma
(available via http://www.nostalgiadigest.com/Those%20Were%20The%20Days.htm )
Running it from firefox it worked but it was at twice the speed it should have been
(when I say twice I don't know exactly, but it was much faster).

I noticed I had a 1.5 version of firefox I was using. I have a later one (2.0.0.12) that I had installed,
so I used that instead. I had to recopy these files under $HOME/.mozilla

./firefox/zvbf155c.default/extensions/{af103f06-4278-42c5-9cc0-98174bbbea1e}/components/mplayerplug-in.xpt
./plugins/mplayerplug-in.so
./plugins/mplayerplug-in.xpt

However, when I brought that firefox up (restarting and everything) it didn't recognize the plugin.
It asked whether I wanted to open it with realyplay or mplayer (not the plugin) neither of which worked.
When I went back to the original firefox, now it played at the correct speed, but I have to use an older
version of Firefox (1.5).

As an aside, when I did mplayer http://216.144.35.180:8081/asxgen/nostalgiadigest/3058498560329.wma
(I have ver 3.50) I get all sorts of errors:

Anyone know whaty is wrong? Does it work for anyone else?

Oh, and as an aside, when I I used mplayerplugin on http://www.chicagopublicradio.org/livestream/mp3.m3u
it would play for a while, and then stop, and I would have to reload.
