[MPlayer-users] overlaying text

Hi

We have to overlay a predefined text field over the video image.
We already managed to use a subtitle to display the text, but
positioning of the text isn´t flexible enough (it has to be
displayed in the upper right corner of the mplayer window and
should not flicker!) and the color should be changed, too.
Q: Is there a way to change color and position of the subtitle in a
more flexible way?
or
Q: Can OSD be manipulated to do the job?
