[MPlayer-users] Colored ghosting / shadowing with some ffmpeg videos

While playing some videos that use ffmpeg family codecs -- ie.
ffmpeg:ffh264 and ffmpeg:ffodivx, there appear offset (i think only
along the x axis) (primary?) colored shadows/ghosts. For example, in a
clip of a guy with a pinkish hat talking, there will appear a subtle
yellow copy of his hat, offset a little to the right. Where the pink hat
and yellow copy-hat overlap, they mix into a red color. Almost as if
the video were composed of overlayed colors, and the yellow wasn't
properly aligned.

When playing the problematic videos with ffplay, the misaligned colors
still appear, along with a more serious yellow bar a few pixels wide,
traversing the entire height of the video. (Mplayer does not display
this bar.)

Is this a known issue?
