[MPlayer-users] mplayer dumpstream ends prematurely

Hello,
Is there a time limit to the duration of a stream, or does one get
disconnected automatically after a certain amount of time?
If this limit is set by the stream server, how can I circumvent it?
Example:
I am listening live to the cspan coverage of the Democratic convention.
http://cspan.org/Watch/C-SPAN_wm.aspx
The coverage lasts from 3pm to 9pm, i.e. 6 hours, but I get cut after 2 or 3
hours:
When listening to the live coverage, I do simply:
mplayer
rtsp://rx-wes-sea47.rbn.com/farm/pull/tx-rbn-sea001:2459/farm/cspan/g2cspan/live/cspan1-g2.rm
but I have to abort and restart at least once during the coverage (which is
not too bad).
My real problem is trying to save the stream after the fact. If you look at
the cspan link above, you'll notice that they offer streams of all past
events.
However, I cannot download the whole stream for the coverage of the whole day.
I do:
mplayer -bandwidth 100000000 -dumpfile c08_082608_dnc1.rm -dumpstream
rtsp://video1.c-span.org/archive/c08/c08_082608_dnc1.rm
but I get only the first 2h53m of the day (Tuesday. Monday I get 2h54m), i.e.
the least interesting part.
The output:
==============
Playing rtsp://video1.c-span.org/archive/c08/c08_082608_dnc1.rm.

Thanks,
Augustin.
