[MPlayer-users] disable optimization during build

Dear all,
 I would like to know how I can disable the optimization while building
mplayer,
 There is a option to enable debug ( --enable-debug ) but when I use this,
the optimization ( -O2 ) is still enabled. ./configure --help did not give
out any options related to disabling of optimization. Can some experienced
users please help.
