Hi. I'm trying to compile mplayer (mencoder actually) from Gentoo
portage (mplayer-1.0_rc2_p24929) with Intel C/C++ compiler version 10.1.008.
my CFLAGS="-O3 -xT -ipo -fomit-frame-pointer -no-prec-div -i_dynamic
-ssp -fPIC -DPIC"
configuration options(from config.h):
#define CONFIGURATION "--cc=icc --host-cc=icc --prefix=/usr
--confdir=/etc/mplayer --datadir=/usr/share/mplayer --libdir=/usr/lib64
--enable-largefiles -
-enable-menu --enable-network --disable-tv-bsdbt848
--disable-faad-external --disable-ivtv --disable-pvr --disable-fribidi
--disable-enca --disable-ftp -
-disable-nemesi --disable-vstream --disable-libcdio --disable-cdparanoia
--disable-cddb --disable-dvdnav --disable-dvdread --disable-liba52
--disable-lib
dv --disable-ass --disable-freetype --charset=UTF-8 --disable-lirc
--disable-lircc --disable-joystick --disable-inet6 --disable-unrarlib
--disable-rtc --
disable-smb --disable-tv --disable-tv-v4l1 --disable-tv-v4l2
--disable-radio --disable-radio-v4l2 --disable-radio-bsdbt848
--disable-dvb --disable-dvbhea
d --disable-tv-teletext --disable-gif --disable-jpeg --disable-live
--disable-mad --disable-musepack --disable-pnm --disable-speex
--disable-tga --disabl
e-xanim --disable-libamr_nb --disable-libamr_wb --disable-libdca
--disable-png --disable-liblzo --disable-twolame --disable-toolame
--disable-qtx --disab
le-real --disable-win32dll --disable-directfb --disable-ggi
--disable-md5sum --disable-sdl --disable-xinerama --disable-aa
--disable-dga1 --disable-dga2
--disable-fbdev --disable-caca --disable-gl --disable-vidix-internal
--disable-vidix-external --disable-zr --disable-gui --disable-xv
--disable-xvmc --en
able-tdfxvid --disable-tdfxfb --disable-alsa --disable-arts
--disable-esd --disable-jack --disable-nas --disable-openal
--disable-pulse --disable-ossaudi
o --disable-altivec"

Unfortunately I'm always getting an error when compiling sr1.c
(sr1.c.log attached) as well as with mdct.c (log also attached).

It will be great to make mplayer to be compatible with ICC too. For now
ICC 10.1 is mostly compatible with GCC and is free for personal use.
I expect to get significant performance growth with ICC 10 and my Core 2
Duo processor.

P.S. Almost the same situation comes with SVN version of mplayer.

Thank you.
Best regards,
Dmitry Leonneko.
