[MPlayer-users] playing flash videos

hello,

I am trying to play a flash RTMP url using mplayer. Is there a way to do 
this? at the moment I am getting the following error:

"No stream found to handle url rtmp://...."

I have tried to install the win32 codecs, but may have got this bit 
wrong as I can't find any instructions which say where to put them. I am 
using ubuntu hardy, and at the moment they are in /usr/local/lib/codecs
