IIRC, audio and subtitle selection with DVDNAV doesn't work (yet?),
you'll have to cycle through the available tracks with the # key. That's
at least my method of choice (although I very seldom use dvdnav, I
prefer dvd, since I have less worries with subtitles and I can set the
DVD speed to 1 and make it quieter).
