[MPlayer-users] A question about patented codecs

Maybe I can use a script to guide people through a procedure to download 
realplayer for linux from Real, and install it. Then make links to its .so 
to let mplayer use them. I'm sure it's legal to redistribute realplayer 
since Real's website said it, but I'm not sure whether it's legal to use the 
so not by realplayer.
