[MPlayer-users] problem connection to BBC R4 (listen again)

I am running the latest version of mplayer on Mac OSX (leopard).
I am trying to convert a real audio stream from the BBC webpage to mp3.

However, I get error messages (connection refused) even though  
realplayer can play the same URL (and yes I am in the UK).
A friend of mine tried the same it it seems to work from Linux or with  
MacOS Tiger. Any idea what the cause could be?
