Could you confirm that the file (md5sum 302136d0943e6163eb261bfe9b41a617,
uploaded to incoming/mplayer_32bit_crash) is also broken with WMP?
The crash is not reproducible with a 64 bit mplayer, but only 32 bit. It can be
triggered for example with -ss 1293.

The file does not crash with -demuxer lavf, but the sound is much worse.

Carl Eugen, who needed several days to find out that "abend" has nothing to do
with daytime.
