I had to install the packages libfreetype6-dev and libfontconfig1-dev in my
Debian system.  Besides, a symlink to a font file must be created in the
~/.mplayer directory (see http://www.mplayerhq.hu/DOCS/HTML/en/fonts-osd.html).
