[MPlayer-users] mplayer using VDPAU not video out

Hi,
    Is it possible to use  ffmpeg - vdpau to do the accelerated video
decoding , but the video output not presented through VDPAU ?

In other words if I use mplayer in the following way

./mplayer -vc <VDPAU-codec-name>

Is the video out not handled through VDPAU ?  If not how is the video output
handled, Is libvo being used ?
