[MPlayer-users] mplayer using VDPAU not video out

HI,
  So does the video output through VDPAU mean that the decoded video is
displayed from the GPU memory ?
If so , will there be any performance degradation if we try to move the
decoded video (YUV / RGB ??) from GPU to CPU memory
and then display it .
