[MPlayer-users] options to speed up mplayer if video playback is not required

i have this in my config:

nocache=yes
msglevel=global=6
msgcharset=noconv
slave=yes
idle=yes
fontconfig=no


i'm asking how can i improve loading mplayer (performance) if i only use it
to listen (audio), no video playback is required.
what options can i  use for this?
