I removed --disable-dvdread-internal. Output of configure:

Enabled optional drivers:
    Input: dvdnav(internal) ftp tv-dshow tv librtmp live555 cddb cdda 
libdvdcss(internal) dvdread(internal) bluray vcd networking

dvd:// and dvdnav:// are now working.

Does this mean that it is wrong to try to use external
libdvdnav, or does it mean that I did not follow the correct procedure to enable 
external libdvdnav?
