[MPlayer-users] Can't play DVDs

The OS is openSuSE v11.1. MPlayer can no longer play DVDs. 

An attempt to start the film brings up an error b ox saying: "Failed to 
open ~/system/media/sr0", Full stop.

The file libdvdcss is present and is recent. The full set of codecs is 
also present and is dated March 2010.

What might be causing this problem, and how can I clear it?
