Don't think so. Seems to ignore everything I specify and won't accept 
such options as bitrate, etc. vb= generates an error message but level= 
does not but is clearly ignored.

Atgain, what baffles me is the disappearance of all the patched options 
from options.c in libavcodec. I went through the options.c and I believe 
that some of the options are simply accepted because they already apply 
to x264 but never passed to libvpx.
