[MPlayer-users] Resyncing extra audio between DVD chapters

Hi.

I have a few DVD with 3 extra seconds of audio at the end of chapter 1 and a
timestamp reset at the beginning of chapter 2. The result looks like that:

A: 87.4 V: 87.4 A-V: 0.001 ct: -0.017 175/175 6% 2% 0.6% 0 0
A: 87.4 V: 87.4 A-V: 0.001 ct: -0.017 176/176 6% 2% 0.6% 0 0
A: 87.5 V: 0.1 A-V: 87.325 ct: -0.013 177/177 7% 2% 0.6% 0 0
A: 87.5 V: 0.2 A-V: 87.321 ct: -0.009 178/178 6% 2% 0.6% 0 0

... when the video enters the second chapter, and three seconds later:

A: 90.1 V: 3.1 A-V: 87.033 ct: 0.279 250/250 6% 2% 0.5% 0 0
A: 90.1 V: 3.1 A-V: 87.029 ct: 0.283 251/251 6% 2% 0.5% 0 0
A: -0.0 V: 3.1 A-V: -3.172 ct: 0.279 252/252 6% 2% 0.5% 0 0
A: 0.0 V: 3.2 A-V: -3.168 ct: 0.275 253/253 6% 2% 0.5% 0 0

when the audio enters the second chapter. Then, the desync is slowly
compensated:

A: 10.0 V: 12.2 A-V: -2.232 ct: -0.629 479/479 6% 2% 0.4% 0 0
A: 20.0 V: 21.3 A-V: -1.324 ct: -1.537 706/706 6% 2% 0.4% 0 0
A: 30.0 V: 30.4 A-V: -0.416 ct: -2.445 933/933 6% 2% 0.4% 0 0

I would like to have the desync compensated faster, ideally all in the
fade-to-black between chapter 1 and 2.

Unfortunately, if I try to use a large value for the -mc option, it also
tries to compensate the 87 seconds desync caused by the reset, and thus
skips a lot of frames from the chapter 2.

Does anyone have advice on how to solve that problem?

Regards,
