[MPlayer-users] MPlayer chokes on Stephen Fry

MPlayer SVN-r32492-4.5.1 plays the following file:

    http://fry.positive-dedicated.net/fry-podcast2-episodes-01.m4a

for about 25.6 seconds and then abruptly exits with status `0' (normal) and
the following message:

Too many audio packets in the buffer: (4096 in 2214062 bytes).
Maybe you are playing a non-interleaved stream/file or the codec failed?
For AVI files, try to force non-interleaved mode with the -ni option.

Interestingly, using `-novideo' allows MPlayer to play the file without
incident (at the expense of losing the visual aspect).

Even more interestingly, VLC plays the file without noticeable problem (there
are, however, various warnings in the console that may be related).

On an unrelated note, MPlayer does not refresh the visual image unless the
player's window is resized or there is another image to display (as is the
case in another such 'podgram'); this can result in horrible artifacts.

Sincerely,
Michael Witten
