[MPlayer-users] is it possible to use to use generic "noise reduction" lavcopts with mplayer?

Hello all.
I see this option for mencoder (-lavcopts)

nr=<0-100000>
              Noise reduction

I know that denoise is available to both mplayer and mencoder, is it
possible to use lavc's "noise reduction" with mplayer? If not consider
this a humble feature request for it :)
