[MPlayer-users] Can't get English audio track to play from a Blu-Ray

I have been trying to play J.J. Abrams "Star Trek" with audio via
optical SPDIF passthrough from my motherboard's back panel TOSLINK
connection to my Yamaha RX-V867 receiver.

The problem isn't that I can't hear anything -- I can -- but that when
I cycle through the audio tracks in mplayer with the # key to get to
the English track I get the message "Audio: disabled" .
Note that I don't have this problem if I use mplayer's software audio
decoding and output to my internal 5.1 analog surround with the
receiver set to "multi external input" mode.

Here is the STDERR/STDOUT output :

mplayer -fs br:// -bluray-device ./tmp -ac hwac3 -ao alsa

The only audio I can listen too is the director commentary and the
Spanish track.

Any help is appreciated.
